Our proposition, unlike that of a typical placement consulting firm, is not just about sourcing CVs. Though our industry focus (see below) helps us in sourcing, our proposition revolves around our evaluation expertise, and our ability to present ready-to-hire candidates. This releases significant amounts of management time that is otherwise tied up in evaluating a much larger set of candidates. For clients whose resource requirements are large, we are also able to commit to targets, which mitigates the risk of you not having the necessary resources to execute hard-won business.
Evaluation Expertise
This is at the heart of what makes our proposition effective. Our expertise is derived in large part from our proprietary methods of assessment of analytical and financial skills. When taking on a mandate, we carefully understand requirements along the dimensions of candidate aptitude and attitude. Subsequently, we design and administer a set of custom-made test and interview case studies to evaluate candidates. We are then able to provide clients with extensively evaluated candidates – most of whom they can eventually make an offer to. It is also important to realize that along with skill, the dimension of will, i.e. interest in the role(s) on offer, is assessed to ensure that subsequent offers are successful.
The ability to have a tool to reliably and objectively evaluate the necessary skills required has a useful corollary – armed with this, it is possible to explore a much larger pool of talent, going beyond some of the standard proxies for quality, i.e. top ten MBA schools, ranked chartered accountants, et al. This helps to avoid supply-constraints, and gives companies choices that they otherwise would not have had.
A Focus on the Financial Services Space
We exclusively focus on the financial services space – this has two advantages for our clients. Firstly, we have a deep understanding of the activities and roles within the financial services industry, with all its subtlety and granularity. Secondly, we also have proprietary databases of top talent interested in making a career in this industry. Since we work closely with our clients in this industry, our evaluation methods have also been carefully honed through considerable prior experience, including tracking the performance of candidates once hired into specific roles.
